Access and security data

City or ticker searches may appear in technical request logs because they are sent as URL parameters.
First-party audience measurement
The site creates a random visitor identifier in browser storage and a temporary view identifier. We record visit dates, first and last presence signals, and aggregate view counts. The analytics request itself does not include your name, email address, exact page path, referrer or device profile.
Preferences stored on your device
The site may remember your language, selected weather city, country, coordinates and time zone. We do not request GPS or browser geolocation access.
Public chat
If you use chat, we process a random client identifier, your chosen nickname and color, messages, timestamps, and moderation or blocking records. Nicknames and messages are visible to other visitors.
Email correspondence
If you contact us, the sender address, message headers, content and any attachments are processed so we can respond and keep an appropriate record of the correspondence.

You can block or delete browser storage in your browser settings. Core content remains available, but language, city and chat preferences may reset and some features may not work as expected.
5. Public chat
Chat messages and nicknames are public. Do not post legal names, contact details, financial information, health information, account credentials or other sensitive data.
Automatic and manual moderation may mask, delete or restrict content and identifiers to protect visitors and prevent abuse. A privacy request concerning chat may require the local chat identifier or enough information to locate the relevant message.
6. Sharing and international processing
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be disclosed only when needed to operate or secure the site, handle communications, comply with law, or protect the site, its users and legal rights.
The primary server is located in Germany. Some processing may occur in other countries where permitted by applicable law and subject to available transfer safeguards.
7. Retention
Analytics
Database analytics records are scheduled for deletion after 90 days. Short-lived online and deduplication records are normally retained for approximately 24 hours, 40 days and 2 days, depending on their purpose.
Chat
The public message history is limited to the latest 500 messages. Chat profiles and moderation records are retained while needed to provide continuity, enforce restrictions or handle requests; message-to-client moderation links expire after 90 days unless another record is required.
Logs and correspondence
Technical and security logs are rotated according to infrastructure settings. Email correspondence is retained only while needed for the conversation, record keeping, security or legal obligations.
Browser data and backups
Browser storage remains until you clear it. Deleted database information may remain in protected backup copies until scheduled rotation; the longest routine backup cycle is approximately 12 months.
8. Security
We use HTTPS, restricted administrative access, rate limiting, network protections, access controls and protected backups. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information through chat or email.
9. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and to complain to a competent data protection authority. We may need reasonable information to verify a request and locate the relevant records.
- Clear or block local site data using your browser settings.
- Avoid or stop using optional features such as public chat and live media.

- Open a complaint with the supervisory authority available in your country, where applicable.
Automated decisions
We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
10. Children's privacy
m-news.live is a general information service and is not specifically directed at children. Children should not publish personal information in the public chat. A parent or legal guardian may contact us to request review or deletion of information submitted by a child.
